CLAIMS QUARTERBACK:
Many of our clients feel they have good documentation and have experience in the claims arena. What they want is a team leader - a quarterback - to coordinate their own agency or company efforts, help select other specialists who may be needed (scheduling experts, forensic architects or engineers, an experienced construction attorney to supplement their general counsel), and oversee the writing of a claim or the response to a claim. This typically reduces costs, and, if your staff have the time to be diligent in their efforts, can reduce the overall time frame to resolution.
Some of our clients have a lot of claims experience, but recognize that organizations sometimes "sip their own whiskey" - they start believing their own arguments and reasoning so thoroughly that they become blinded to the holes in their case. Toward the end of the preparation process, they ask us to help them evaluate their case and their presentation. They may even want our professional presentation skills (including preparation of exhibits and PowerPoints). They may need a "voice" for the presentation or even a skilled negotiator. That's us.
