Dan Fauchier is an experienced forensics consultant, real estate developer, design
manager, construction project manager, college teacher, mediator, arbitrator,
partnering/project alignment facilitator and construction management expert with twenty-five
years experience in direct, hands-on development, design and construction management of
projects from $250,000 to $18,000,000 (on projects as large as $140,000,000), and forensics
consulting for over a Billion Dollars in projects nationwide. Experienced in commercial,
residential and public construction, on nearly one hundred projects, he has served as either
the developer, developer’s project manager, design team leader, the developer’s construction
manager, the general contractor, a subcontractor, the project manager for the general or
subcontractor.

(www.projectrealign.com), Mr. Fauchier taught Construction Management and Planning &
Scheduling for the Engineering extension of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD)
and for the Defense Conversion Foundation at San Diego State University (SDSU). In the
past decade he has served a number of national firms including Saddle Island Institute, La
Jolla Center for Dispute Resolution, SDC & Associates and Pinnacle Automation as an
instructor, construction claims analyst, time extension analyst, graphics mentor, CPM
scheduler, trainer, construction manager, design director and expert witness. Since 1997, Dan
has trained nearly 4,000 construction professionals nationwide in over 250 one-day and
three-day construction management and forensics seminars.
Mr. Fauchier works closely with the Engineering & General Contractors Association
(EGCA) of San Diego as their professional liaison and advocate to local and regional public
agencies, striving to enhance the rapport between the private and public sectors and to make
government projects work more efficiently for the public’s benefit.
A committed advocate of dispute prevention and creative dispute resolution, he has been
certified by the Institute of Conflict Management (ICM) as an Arbitrator and Mediator, and
has settled dozens of cases for the California Contractor's State License Board. He serves as
panelist for the La Jolla Center for Dispute Resolution and the National Conflict Resolution
Center for private dispute cases. Additionally, Dan is on the training teams of the La Jolla
Center and of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, offering training to public
agencies and contractors in Design Build ADRTM including Project AlignmentTM, Project
RealignmentTM, Power PartneringTM, Mediation and Arbitration.
Mr. Fauchier is active in "giving back" to the construction community through service in
numerous trade associations including Associated General Contractors (served three terms as
Education Committee Chair); Construction Management Association of America (member
and trainer), American Subcontractors Association (local training and the National Owner
Liaison Committee); Latino Builders, Black Contractors Association and Women
Construction Owners & Executives (industry coalition partners); San Diego Contracting
Opportunities Center (trainer), and the San Diego Contractors Roadmap Project (co-founder
and trainer). Mr. Fauchier is a member of the California Dispute Resolution Council and the
American Bar Association (ABA) Construction Industry Forum.
